Obtaining Photos
Our photographs have been used in scientific papers on plant disease and fungi, to illustrate textbooks and presentations, and have been presented as framed gifts to biological researchers. Some of them make excellent art for your living room or office walls.

We hereby grant permission to use jpeg versions of our images in not-for-profit teaching presentations, so long as our copyright statement is included. We appreciate receiving notice that our images have been useful in educational contexts as this information helps justify our efforts to scan images and maintain this site.

This site presents much-reduced versions of our high-resolution scans. We can provide these large tiff files, or arange to have them produced as giclee prints. We do charge nominal fees for this service to cover our costs and time. Department alumni qualify for fee reduction or waiver, depending on the nature and quantity of the request. The size of the digital files varies depending on the quality and size of the original print or negative. We retain copyright on all CUP materials. Contact the Director with your requests.

Only a small number of our photographs have been digitized. If you seek a particular image, and you have reason to believe that we hold it, please contact us to request it be scanned.
